Who is The Discovery Eye Foundation?
Share
Founded in 1970 by Rita and Morris Pynoos, we are dedicated to finding cures and treatments for corneal and retinal eye disease, particularly as related to diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, ocular herpes, keratoconus and other degenerative conditions.
Not only do we support doctors in the early stages of groundbreaking eye research, we reach out around the globe to the people who are suffering from these terrible eye diseases. Through the Macular Degeneration Partnership and the National Keratoconus Foundation, we provide a wealth of support, empowering patients with accurate information, up-to-date education and a responsive personal attention.
Our Mission

The Discovery Eye Foundation supports research, education and advocacy related to sight-threatening eye diseases and their treatments, improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
We accomplish this through the funding of ground-breaking retinal and corneal research and through the development of multi-national outreach and support programs for those who are afflicted with eye disease.
