The Discovery Eye Foundation supports an outstanding group of physician-scientists that collaborate with ophthalmic companies to determine the safety and efficacy of new drugs and lasers that also help develop new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
  • Clinical trials conducted by Drs. James Salz and Ezra Maguen are on the cutting-edge when attempting to find new techniques for refractive and cataract surgeries and treatments for corneal eye diseases.
  • Dr. Roger Steinert at the University of California, Irvine, is the clinical and research director of the cataract, corneal and refractive surgery program and is actively involved in the newest technological breakthroughs for laser surgical procedures, corneal transplantation and lens implants.
